Make your decision = BANG!

You’ve got a decision to take. It’s a tough one.

Make your decision today, cowboy.

You say:

“I like to leave things up to fate. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be!”

Yeah but no but NO.

You pussy-foot around, umming and aaahing, humming and haawing and NOTHING gets done. You end up with a list of things you never did and regret not doing. You feel sorry for yourself. You end up shoeless and overweight with food caught in your beard.

Change your life. BE A DECISION-MAKER!

How to make a decision:

  • Limit your choices – chunk down – eliminate, slice and discard options like an option-discarding ninja on an elimination spree.
  • Make a decision - this is the “take massive action” step. Give yourself a time-limit. I suggest eight seconds for “what to wear”, one minute for “how to mix the perfect martini”, five minutes for “Caribbean or Pacific islands” and perhaps a little longer for identifying a surrogate mother.
  • Never look back - quit with the “what-ifs”. Enough with the “if-onlys”. Don’t apologise and don’t explain.

How making a quick decision will improve your love-life:

There are eighteen pages on the menu. It all looks good. The sexy guy from marketing has already chosen steak and fries. You don’t know whether to go for the fritto misto, or the lapin à la kriek, the quails’ eggs benedict or the truffle omelette. The parmesan soufflé looks divine and you’ve heard great things about the sea-bass casserole. You take a few minutes. You take a few minutes more to contemplate the enchiladas.

You take for-fucking-EVER and the hot guy from marketing has you down as a neurotic ingrate who’s depriving him of his meat.

    You go home alone.

    VERSUS

The hot guy from marketing says “I’ll have steak and fries”. You say “me too.”

You don’t go home for four days, and when you do, you’re saddle-sore.

Other benefits of being able to make a decision:

    • Longer life-span.
    • Whiter teeth.
    • Ability to say no.

And ultimately, you know the people you really admire, your role models, your gurus? Do they make firm, concrete, definite and rapid decisions?

    Thought so.

And now you do, too. You rock.

I sincerely prefer to be left alone to live my own life and to do my own thinking.—–

Choose your second choice first, than take until the waiter comes to make your first. If none, take your second choice. I, too, want my food fast as possible.
    I hate steak and fries.

Do your own thinking and leave me to do mine. I was given free agency to protect
me from people who want to control my beliefs and my thinking. People like you.
