Listen, repeat.
“What I do for a living is not who I am, it is what I do for a living”.
You will not be judged by people who are worth your while for being brilliant at sorting the staples, mastering the photocopier or licking envelopes fast.
You might not be the best at staff evaluations or the quickest with spreadsheets, but IT DOESN’T MATTER.
Sure, it’s a bonus if you get to do what you like to do for a living, but GET REAL. Most of us don’t.
Live with it, and make sure that your time away from work is worthwhile.
Your friends will be your friends irrespective of your ability to close the deal. Just be consistent, don’t be an ass, and get a handle.
You only get one chance. Don’t waste it.

I want to mail my problems into the chronicle.
Then don’t let me stop you, Ramakrishna. Go ahead, knock yourself out.
